about

Enûma Elish EP is the result of three musicians' exploration during a 4 days long residency.

Mythologic waters, mesopotamian cosmosgonies and greek aphorisms merge in this 25 mn long record where the auditor is led through a universe made of etheric waves and asymetric rythms.

The album was recorded live in one shot (except additionnal keyboard and percussions) to capture the moment.

The artwork is made with the waveform of the track "Enûma Elish" and his cuneiform writing.

Download come with bonus live tracks of the videoclip, high quality cover and photos.

The world egg or cosmic egg is a mythological motif found in the cosmogonies of many cultures that descends from the proto-Indo-European civilizations and other cultures. It's a beginning of the universe or some primordial being who hatches from the egg, sometimes lain on the primordial waters of the Earth.

Noun

In Ancient Egyptian "Noun" is the source of all that appears in a differentiated world, encompassing all aspects of divine and earthly existence.
They envisaged the oceanic abyss of the Noun as surrounding a bubble in which the sphere of life is encapsulated.

Segue

A segue is a smooth transition from one topic or section to the next.
The term is derived from Italian segue, "follows".

Abzu

The Abzu is the name for fresh water from underground aquifers which was given a religious fertilising quality in Sumerian. Lakes, springs, rivers, wells, and other sources of fresh water were thought to draw their water from the abzu. In this respect, in Sumerian and Akkadian mythology it referred to the primeval sea below the void space of the underworld (Kur) and the earth (Ma) above.
The Sumerian god Enki was believed to have lived in the abzu since before human beings were created.

Panta Rhei

The greek phrase πάντα ῥεῖ (panta rhei) means "everything flows".
"All entities move and nothing remains still"

Enûma Elish

The Enûma Elish is the Babylonian creation myth (named after its opening words).
Over the seven tablets it describes the creation of the world, a battle between gods focused on supremacy of Marduk, the creation of man destined for the service of the Mesopotamian deities, and ends with a long passage praising Marduk.
